Holy crap, an update, after what, a year?

Yeah, I'm now a sophomore at Cornell doing the chemical engineering thing. I consistently try to do too much in too little time.

Speaking of which, I need to get to sleep.

Yes, I have tons of photos from Mexico this summer, but my computers and filesystems are in complete disarray after 2 hard drive failures...but don't worry, I always keep my photos backed up duplicately. Eventually, I'll post some. Maybe Thanksgiving.

So, I'm kind of torn.

`justthorne wants us to hide our galleries for a week starting today. I don't know if I want to.

Yes, I support jark. Yes, I disagree with how he was treated. But I'm getting a little tired of all the politics. I hate politics. I love ideas, but politics is just the bastardization and banalization of ideas. Art is no such impure thing.

I really wish this would all be over. Even if jark does win the court case, nothing will be the same. I think there will probably be a rift among the staff as to who supports Angelo and who supports Scott. And I don't really know how long until that sentiment will level out and fade away.

In a way, I want to get back to the ART. I've been commenting more than usual, if not submitting. I want to get back to submitting, to putting life back in this site.

I suppose from one point of view that would be caving in to Angelo because he knows how much people love using this site and how much we need it, &c &c.

It's not like anyone will notice. I mean, if people like =kittynn [well, she put hers back up] and ~kolaboy will hide their galleries, that's one thing.

And then on the other side, the more people that do it, the more it will be noticed, and as many people as possible are needed to create the necessary effect.

But I wonder.

Think of me what you will, but I'm tired of this mess, I'm tired of conspiracies and not conspiracies and truth and lies and "love" and "hate."

Isn't art supposed to transcend all that anyway?

I can't believe °jark is gone.

You know, I was just about to buy a subscription again, too. Good thing I waited.

I love dA; I really do. I've learned and improved so much in my time on here. I found my artistic medium, a brand new way to express myself, through how I view the world.

It's really sad that the place I joined over 2 years ago has come to this. :/
