<3 ubuntu. i recently switched from gentoo and i am so happy. no more compiling, no more beating my computer until networking works properly. i put in the livecd and everything WORKED. yay! the only issues i have are the severely bloated kernel (dozens and dozens of unnecessary modules and built-in support...) and the slow boot time compared to gentoo. other than that, ubuntu's lovely.
gnome finally doesn't suck anymore, and my computer can actually handle it, so yay. enlightenment still has some features i miss (like the annihilate option for rogue windows and continuous desktops), but gnome's very nice. i've also tried xfce, but i think i'll stick with gnome for now.
this is just gnome that's been poked at a bit. the background is a macro i took of a bird of paradise flower in cuernavaca, mexico.
